Pastor Henry grew up in York, PA, and was raised in the Catholic church,
but his family background is from the Old Order River Brethren
(similar to the Amish faith). Henry asked Jesus into his heart when he was 21 years old, he knew then that God had a calling on his life to be a pastor.
In 1988 he joined the Baptist church and was ordained to preach in 1991. He became the pastor of Shelter Rock Baptist Church of the Deaf in Long Island, NY in 1997. He currently serves as
second vice president of the Southern Baptist Conference of the Deaf. Henry has served as a short term missionary to Romania. He has made fifteen trips to that
country to share the message of Christ with the deaf there.
Henry is married to his lovely wife, Nancy Jo and they have a daughter, Emma.
